Tips to move Harpsichord

NYC Great Movers

These days, we lead a very hectic life, as we need to work hard to keep up with our expenses. Therefore we do not have enough time for us to spend on packing any items while moving from one place to another. Last week when I was moving to my new apartment from the old one, I was in a conundrum as I had to pack a plethora of my household items and my harpsichord. That time I was asking around my friends and family for an effortless solution for packing, then a friend of mine came up with an idea and told me, why I don’t take help from a professional.

After searching Google for a while I came through a moving service named Great Moving. When I entered their official website and read some of the reviews I thought to give it a go, as I was very much desperate for help. I have called them a week earlier so that they can help me with my pickings. As soon as NJ Local Movers received my phone call they come to my house and knock my door. After inspecting my house thoroughly they have come to my study where my beloved Harpsichord is kept. Then without any delay, they have given me some tips which I am going to let you in now.

What you should and shouldn’t do

1. All professionals suggest not to move a harpsichord on your own because it can be hazardous for your beloved musical instrument. Only professional knows how to move such a large instrument to pack and move without having any scratch on it.

2. Do not hire some unprofessional people to move it without any tools which can be detrimental to the harpsichord. It’s a musical instrument, not a regular furniture.

3. We all know that refinishing of a harpsichord is very pricey. So, while moving that remember to wrap it with either pads or blankets to avoid any kind of scratch and dents.

4. Carefully check and recheck the lid if it is closed or not.

5. One final point, do not forget to check the weather forecast before moving the harpsichord. If it forecast rain, in that case, wrap it with waterproof clothes otherwise there could be a high chance of damaging your harpsichord by leaking some rainwater inside it while moving.
